New guidelines

New Norwegian Oil and Gas guidelines for managing major accident risk in licences have been established.

The purpose of these guidelines is to describe a common working practice for licensee activities in licences related to managing major accident risk in various phases of petroleum operations. Furthermore the guidelines describes the operator’s facilitation of the partners’ “see to it” duty related to major accident risk.

The guidelines are also available in Norwegian.
